Finally got in to see the Ortho yesterday; no surgery for me! He wants me to try PT 3x/week for a month and then see him for a recheck.

BTW, if anyone ever tells you a cortisone shot to a joint doesn't hurt, smack them square in the nose. Holy cow! :eek: :-\ It's helping, and certainly a better option than surgery, but hurt like hell.

Good news no surgery. Yep, those cortisone injections hurt like a mother! I had my shoulder done once... broke out in a cold sweat, **** near fainted. Hurt, hurt, HURRRRRRRRRRRRT!

If you really can avoid them, it would be wise. I have a high threshold for pain and the C-shot really rung my bell.
