At 10:00 a.m. the transformer by my barn blew up (we had really strong winds this morning).

Power company took a long time to get out to fix it.

We had no power all day.

No Christmas Dinner.

Tomorrow we will do Christmas Dinner for real.

I felt bad for the power company guys, they told us they'd been out working since 5:30 a.m.

That has to be tough on both ends. Did they at least get to play with the dogs while they were there?

Well that's a bummer on many levels, but I'm also glad it wasn't worse. Hope tomorrow's dinner is a success!

It was 70 degrees today, so we didn't need heat, or air conditioner. Rainy day. Luckily they got the power back on in time for me to get my shower (without power, we have no water either) and get to work.
Yep, I work Christmas day... but it's double time pay, so that's a good thing!

LOL, no joke. It was 70 degrees today, very nice outside. The dogs and I had a good playtime between rain showers. Horses got out long enough to roll in the sandy mud. All in all a good day... but without power. Thankfully it's back and I'm looking forward to ham tomorrow!!

I'm so sorry. You could have had Christmas dinner with us, if I had know.
Yeah, Nance. Really warm here today. I had to turn the AC for awhile. It got so hot in the house from all the cooking.
