Hi everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself. I grew up around a wonderful Chocolate Labrador and my fondest childhood memories include a cold wet nose always by my side. Even as a child, I was always fascinated by competition (conformation, agility, obedience, etc.). My parents did not have the time or the funds necessary to help me get into any form of competitive dog showing so I put that dream on the back burner.

Fast forward a few years My DH and I bought our first home a year ago. I am a photographer and stay at home mom. After much research, we found a breeder who not only produces some beautiful dogs that have excelled in the show ring, obedience trials, retrieving duck, and therapy work. Although she sells limited registration, she did say that if the girl I pick does turn out nicely and is able to pass her clearances at 2 yrs (hips and eye), she would consider changing it to a full registration depending on her conformation and my commitment to showing. She is passionate about the betterment of the Labrador breed and is always there to answer any questions. After all the scary puppy mills I found, it was so nice to find such a wonderful breeder with so much experience.

Anyway, we will be going to pick a chocolate girl next Saturday.

Her father "Int'l CH Crossfire Wilcare Master'son is not only handsome but very sweet as well. My 14 month old hugged him and he looked happy as could be.

Her mother "Sampson's Whistling Dixie" has a few champs in her pedigree as well. She also had a wonderful disposition...actually, every adult we met that day was super sweet and covered my daughter in kisses.

I am looking forward to watching this little girl grow up and seeing what type of competition she will be best suited for and what SHE enjoys doing best. I have got a lot more research to do in the mean time LOL.

Here are some photos I took (while holding my daughter) when I first visited to check out the breeder...

Well, we picked out a name for our little girl...Sampson's Remington Rose ("Remi" for short). I thought Remington was a fitting name for a Lab and her eyes will be the same color as one of my favorite congnacs Remi Martin. Anyway, we should be picking her up this Saturday (she is going to get her State health certificate this week). We can not wait and are counting the days LOL.

Here are some snapshots her breeder sent us last week...

6 weeks old...

And at 7 weeks with her litter mates (she has the dark green collar)

(Group "attack" on a 12 week old who came to visit LOL)

Hard to see her face but you can see how dark chocolate she is in this one...

I should be getting more pics soon and will be doing a "photo shoot" with her soon after she comes home!
