Well, we had out first show weekend this past weekend. Caleb had such a wonderful attitude in the Utility ring. His attitude was actually a little too good! He so liked the lady judge that he about flopped over on his back for a belly rub! He had the whole room laughing! Well, that was a nq! But boy did he have fun!

Micah got two more RAE legs with two first places in Excellent. We're working on stress issues cause we're averaging 10 points lower on our second run.

But all in all we had a good start to the show season!

I was just telling Ken and a friend I wouldn't mind an NQ if my dog was having fun like that (you should have seen the Doberman at the K9 Learning Experience- he kept reaching out and smacking the signs with his paws).

Congrats on Micah's legs!

I can just see Caleb doing that, LOL! I hope the judge gave him a belly rub ;)

Congrats on Micah's RAE legs. That is fantastic. I need to get Remington back in the ring, one of these days ;)

So it's stress? I think I have the same problem as Micah but in reverse order. I always blow the Excellent class, but do well in the Advanced. Me, not my dog, LOL! Yes, I am a bit stressed the first time through the course, then the 2nd time I'm usually relaxed and really ready to get it perfect. Just can't seem to get the high scores in Ex. though.

Actually we score lower on which ever class is second. It's stress--he would not even do any of the call fronts!

Congrats on a good weekend. I am sure you will get the stress issue figured out. Heck, Micah is still young. When Miles was about his age, I remember, he would start to check out as the day wore on. Stress or just tired of the whole show thing for the day, I don't know. With you as a handler, with so much ring experience, I think he'll be fine.
