I was reading the newspaper thread and tismom mentioned the Baltimore Sun. I was in Baltimore attending a conference in 1995 when Cal broke the record for playing in the most consecutive games (2131). The next morning I purchased a copy of the Sun and brought it home and put the entire paper away thinking that someday it might be a valuable collectors item.
I just did a search to see if it had any value at all and I came up with this site that is offering a REPRINT of the front page of the SPORTS SECTION of the New York Times and they are asking $89.99 for the reprint.

Makes me wonder what my original full copy of the Sun might be worth today.

We have one of those too!! My dad knows how much it's worth, I'll have to ask him when he calls tonight (he's on business in Chicago)

My brother also has one of the limited edition 2131 baseballs (it has orange stitching!) signed by Cal.
