So I ordered a part for my car. Turns out I don't need it and want to return it. First you have to file a "claim" on their website, wait a few days and then you get this:

IMPORTANT!
DO NOT SEND ANY OTHER NEW OR DEFECTIVE PARTS WITH THIS RETURN.

If you have other parts to return, you will have to apply for a separate RA number.

WHAT TO INCLUDE WITH YOUR RETURN:

At the time of your purchase we emailed you an itemized invoice. Please print the invoice and circle the items that you are returning and enclose it with your return. Do NOT enclose shipping receipts of any kind.

CONDITION OF RETURN:

Parts MUST be returned in their original boxes. Any returns received without the original boxes are not in re-sellable condition and will be returned to you without a refund. Drain all fluids BEFORE putting the parts in the box.

All writing must be done on the shipping boxes only. DO NOT WRITE ON THE PART BOXES OR USE TAPE ON THE PART BOXES. Any returns received in this condition will not be considered in re-sellable condition and will be returned to you without a refund.

If you received your item in a parts box ONLY, please place your return in a cardboard shipping box and put your RA number on the outside of the shipping box. Do NOT write on the parts box!

HOW TO PACKAGE YOUR RETURN:

Please make sure you carefully package the part(s) you are returning in a sturdy shipping box using cushioning materials to keep the part safe from being damaged during transport. We are NOT responsible for items damaged or lost in shipment. We recommend that you insure your package for what it is worth. (We do NOT take responsibility for uninsured items.)

HOW TO SHIP YOUR RETURN:

IMPORTANT!

We highly recommend that you obtain a tracking number. Without a tracking number ther is no way to find a lost package and you will not receive credit for your return.

If shipping via USPS, you MUST obtain a return tracking number. Delivery confirmations and return receipts do not provide a signature or an accurate proof of delivery to the specified address.

Remember to keep a copy of the tracking number for your records.

WHEN DO YOU GET YOUR REFUND:

Once we receive your return, we inspect the part(s) for damage and to ensure all components are included as required based on the reason you are returning the part(s). Once the part(s) passes inspection, our accounting team processes your refund through the financial institution you used originally to purchase the part(s). PLEASE NOTE: Credit can take up to 4 weeks from the date your return is received. We will process your return as quickly as we can. We cannot control how long it takes the financial institution to apply the credit to your account.

OMG how complicated can it be? And they didn't even give me a "RA number" so I called and they said they'd send it to me in a FEW days.. WTFFFF

Sounds like the hurdles I had to jump to get our malfunctioning HP Digital Frame replaced. They kept insisting I'd gotten some kind of authorization e-mail with a return # on it, but I kept saying no. Finally, I realized I HAD gotten it, but the subject line had NOTHING about HP or a return or a digital frame or ANYTHING TRACABLE TO THIS TRANSACTION on it.

I had been deleting them as SPAM for about a week or so......

I know, right? Just give me my **** money!!! And when I called, the guy was foreign and I couldn't understand anything he said.. not to mention he totally slaughtered the pronunciation of my name... rrrr.
