Hello. I have 2 choc. labs that are almost 8 months now. They absolutely LOVE being outside as much as possible. I noticed the mosquitos are flocking to them. Should I be using some sort of mosquito repellent on them? I am concerned because we have had some cases of EEE (Eastern Equine Ensephilitis) ?Sp.? in humnas in our general area in the past couple of years. Is that something dogs can get too?
I use Frontline Plus on them each month, but I don't think that covers mosquitos.
Any help with this is appreciated.

At the pet store I used to work at we sold mosquito repellant made especially for dogs and cats.... I don't know how effective it is though, it could be completely useless! I just remember it sitting on the shelf.

I don't know about the equine incefa.... however you spell it!! I do know that many diseases that dogs can get are carried by mosquito (heartworm, etc.) I just don't know about that one!
