In Madison, WI this past weekend, one of the pet stores puts on "Dog Fest" --- basically a big festival open to humans & their dogs. There were hundreds of booths giving away free samples, raffles, etc. along with demonstrations by Police K9s, service dogs, etc. and different competitions (fastest tail wagging, most interesting trick, runs where the cops used a radar gun to track their speed, agility, flyball, etc.) I couldn't believe how many dogs were there...we were a little nervous because Moose is 10x more excitable than the average lab, and he did AWESOME. We actually got compliments for the first time in public saying what a well behaved dog we had. He usually goes nuts when he sees other dogs or people, but I think there were just so many that he couldn't focus on just one. It was a beautiful day and Moose did great!

Smiley boy!

Afterwards, he got to lounge by the sprinkler and cool off

Good Boy Moose. Those events are great and wonderful training opportunities. HK learns that every treat from the vendors does not find its way into her mouth immediately.
