Hi I have a Black Lab he will 10 in May. He has been on Canidae food for years and was doing great then all of a sudden he started vomiting his food up every morning of the food the day before. This started about a month ago so I switched his food to see if he would eat that and he won't. Within the past 2 weeks he just started losing weight really fast I can see his ribs and his backbone. I took him to the vet and they did lymes heartworm and that came out all good. They took blook work and all that came out fine. I gave them a stool sample the other day and I'm waiting on that. Can this be a sign of a tumor or cancer? That is my main question. If the stool comes back fine im going to get a x-ray on his chest and stomach. Please give me your advice I love my dog to death and I just want to prepare myself. Thank you for your time.

I am sorry to hear what you are going thru and your worries. If stool sample comes back normal I would have your vet refer you to an internal specialist. Take all test results with you or have your vet fax them to the specialist.

Something is obviously going on. Prayers it is not serious.
