Lost Question

Sorry if this is stupid to ask but, has the screen the last two weeks on Lost looked like an old movie reel. Like people are not walking the correct speed, and the transmission keeps getting lost? It was driving me nuts and at first I thought it was the Digital conversion thingy going on at the TV station. Now I am thinking they are doing it on purpose to make it more spooky, old fashion, and fragmented.
