Cooper will sometimes limp for short period of time. It is never serious and he does not seem to be in any pain. A couple of times at the park he limped slightly, but a few minutes later he was all right. I checked to make sure nothing was stuck in his paw. It looks like he is walking without bending his left rear leg.
Last night at his agility class, the teacher thought he was limping. Neither me nor my husband had even noticed anything, but when watching very closely, you could see a slight limp. He seems to be fine today, he was running in the house this morning with my husband playing catch and chase.
He has always run lopsided, many people have even commented on how funny he runs. We just thought it was Cooper being Cooper, never thought there could be anything actually wrong.
We are thinking of taking him to the vet to see if there are any problems. Would you think we should go to our regular vet, or see a specialist (and what type of specialist would it be?) The teacher said it could even be something like the growth plates didn’t form properly and suggested getting x-rays taken. I hope this is nothing serious. Any idea of what this may be or what is causing this ?
