Looking to purchase life vests for the dogs.

Two questions:

• What's the difference between life vest and life jacket, they look the same to me?
  
• Best place to purchase??

As far as I know (AFAIK), life vest = life jacket = float coat = PFD

Ruff Wear makes the best, AFAIK; my Puff uses one.

I second Labradorable's advice to measure your dog carefully and pick the right size.

If your dog hasn't yet reached its mature size, you might consider some of the cheaper brands, say from WalMart, Cabelas, online sources, etc.

In dogs, yes, in humans a PFD and a life jacket are different.

I have an Outward Hound for Jefferson. Teddy uses it also--it is adjustable. I've had it for over 4 years and it is still good as new.

I got mine from Petsmart and was able to take Abbey with me, so I knew it would fit properly. I believe it is an Outward Hound one and it works great!
