He went through a phase when he would sit beside me and then fling himself backwards across my lap. Most of the pictures from that period make him look like he's in a great deal of pain, but you can get the idea here.

I agree. I wish I had a lap-Lab but I don't. He'll put his head on my lap but as soon as I try to reach out to pat him, he's off to grab a toy.

Belle is not a lap dog either. Hoss very much so, and Kodi has to be on top of you, either on you shoulders or doing lets stand on mom's bladder and see how long it takes her to have to get up and go pee!
