Hi everyone:

Lab-dad had an accident today working a trade show load in. He fell 4 feet from a truck tailgate and was followed by 30 8 foot tables. At least one of which crushed the little finger on his right hand. Taken by ambulance to er. After examination, a hand specialist was called in and surgery was immediately scheduled. He has disclocated the finger, broke it in at least 3 places and peeled the skin off like a glove. Surgery is over and he is ok. Now has a splint on the hand for the next 2 weeks. Dr. will check then and probably put a new splint on for another 2 weeks minimum depending on how the bone has healed. He has other bumps and bruises that haven't really been looked at yet, because the hand took priority so he didn't lose it.

Prayers and good thoughts for Andy, that the hand heals quickly and completely, and that everything else is superficial. He's really going to be a hurting puppy tomorrow and Sunday. :(

I am glad that he didn't have anything life threatening occur and that the prognosis for his hand/finger is good. I hope he recovers quickly!
