This is pretty amazing:

spokeswoman for Amazon.com said sales of Vonnegut’s books have soared since word of his death spread. “Slaughterhouse-Five,” “A Man Without a Country” and “Cat’s Cradle” have seen sales increase by 1,885 percent, 5,333 percent and 1,423 percent, respectively. Works by Vonnegut currently occupy 14 out of the 20 top-selling books during the last 24 hours.

He was 84.

Those younger forum probably don't know who he is....
I'm sure I qualify as one of the younger of the forum at 23. I've read Slaughterhouse-Five, Cat's Cradle, and Fates Worse than Death- and I believe his son's book, God Bless you, Dr. Kevorkian.

He was an amazing writer with an interesting perspective.

So it goes.
