Sorry it's hurting you. :(

We spent the day at the dentist too. Jakob, my oldest son, had to have some baby teeth extracted (they weren't coming out and were affecting how his permenant teeth are coming in). Luckily he seems no worse for wear right now, but I also gave him some children's Tylenol not too long ago...

I get to spend tomorrow at the oral surgeon having an impacted wisdom tooth extracted. Joy! I'll be joining you with the soup. I bought soup, jell-o, and frozen fruit bars today for me and Jake.

My yougest son, mr drama king, couldn't let us get all the attention though. ;) On Thursday, he's having his nasal and sinus passages cleared and having his tongue snipped. Where Jake is fine and acting normal, Brandon will put on his best pitiful act for all the attention he can get..lol

What a week!

May I ask what "having his tongue snipped" means?

Sorry you guys are in pain... this is why I avoid the dentist like the plague.
I think tongue snipped is when they cut that little piece that attached the bottom of the tongue to the bottom of your mouth..?

I hate the dentist. They always over-floss and over-scrape my teeth. :(

Yep, that's what is wrong. He's tongue-tied, and it's affecting his speech badly. He can't lift his tongue to the roof of his mouth or stick out his tongue - it's just makes a little dimple in the middle when he tries to stick it out. He's in speech therapy, and we were trying to resolve his issues by having him learn how to say certain sounds a different way, but the pediatrician said he tongue is tied too badly and needs clipped (and the ENT agreed).

i hate the dentist too. i only go when i cracked a tooth or one is in a great deal of pain. they scrape so hard on the teeth and gums that they hurt for a few days afterwards. i think it must be a prerequisite to being a dental. "enjoy seeing patients squirm in a chair they cannot get out of while inflicting pain on teeth and gums". hope you feel better soon.

Thanks guys. I used to avoid the dentist like the plague, but that caused me more problems. Now I go faithfully every six months for cleaning. It saves more painful experiences!

gailatmsu - I don't envy your family this week. Hope all goes well today and tomorrow.
