It's the place that I posted about earlier with the rude person on the phone. I guess it was one of the girls who is leaving and was just being a bi-otch.

So I walked in and there were 8 other people there applying for the ONE job. They made us sit around in a circle and the woman talked for a few minutes about the job and the clinic. Then we were asked to fill out a standard job application as well as a questionnaire. It asked about what you would say to someone if they had just lost their cat, if they were a new client or if they had an overdue bill. I guess I hit those right on because the woman said that I answered them really well.

The woman collected all of the apps and went into the back for a while to look them over. She came back out and announced that 3 people were staying for further interviewing and the others could leave. I was shaking like a leaf!! Then she called my name and I was super happy. She interviewed the other two people and I was last.

We talked for a while about everything and I think I did well. It's a really small clinic that only sees cats and they only have 6 employees. It's about a 15 minute drive from me and about 5 minutes from my new apartment that I'll move into in July.

She wants me to come in on Monday and kind of shadow what she does and come in on Tuesday to work with another girl. Then I can decide if I want to do it or not.. but basically, I got the job! :D

Congratulations...it appears the money you spent on the scrubs was well worth it.

My BR and SIL use a cats only clinic and they love the female vet. Her boarding facility is called The Cat House and yes it has a red light over the door.

Nice

don't be too shocked if you find there is a working interview with at least one other candidate ...
working interviews are tough - be keen and step up if you see something to do but finding a blaance between asking enough questions to be eager and few enough questions not to be annoying is tough ... be true to you and you should have a good sense of if this is a job you want or not

YAY for you
