Nope but I've visited Jamestown and have a great book on the history of the settlement. But, then I am a history major and really enjoy that type of stuff!! :D

History really interests me too Mark

They had it really hard back then in fact they actually gave up and boarded a ship to return to England at one point !

I can't imagine a place with no running water - no electricity - no convenience store - need I go on !

We have things so easy nowadays ( well most of us anyway )

I was watching another programme on Kew Gardens - another Royal palace - and they built a tower attached to the palace specifically for toilets on each floor ! No running water - the servants had to empty the pans ( God knows where ) **** job eh !

Moats were not built to keep people out although the water quality often had that desired effect. :p
