So we went to the cottage this past holiday weekend (in Canada we just had a long weekend) and while we were up there, there were TONS of mosquitoes. We all came back with bites, including poor Phoebe. Of course us humans can use Afterbite or Bactine or other such things...but does anyone know of anything that helps with the itchies for dogs? She has a couple of bites that she keeps scratching and they seem to bug her quite a bit.

No advice... just tons of sympathy for poor Phoebes! The itchies are NO fun!!

Awww....Phoebe says "Thanks Henery...they make me scratchy scratch scratch. My mommy feels bad for me but at least I get lots of snuggles from the whole ordeal!"

The correct dosage is about 1mg per pound of your dog's weight. That's a shame she got bit up too. Is Phoebe on a preventative?

We usually give Kody one benedryl tablet when he is bit. It definitely helps.

Aww thanks guys. She seems to be feeling a little better. Itchies might be going down a bit...so I'll monitor her and give Benadryl if it's bad again. When you say a preventative do you mean for fleas and other such things? Yes she is on Revolution.
