One of you good people recommended I find something to laugh about today.

My oldest brother, about Tudor's age, called me. UNHEARD OF! (He's in St. Louis - I'm in Tulsa). He had me laughing like a crazy person, complete with tears in my eyes, with stories about him going through our dad's directives for end of life.

Then, being the dog softy that he is, he asked how ours were coping. We exchanged gentle doggie stories with a lot of "Oh yes... I know what you mean" phrases in there.

It was all so, so, so good.

Enormous thanks to the JLer who recommended this therapy. Please forgive me for not remembering which of you it was, but YOU know who you are.

Aw, Jackie. Not so much. All the others are really my dogs and they are good, good, good. But Scamp? He is Tud's personal love and he knows. Sometimes his little face is so sad. So I scoop him up for cuddles and whisper sweet things to him... and then he goes looking for his dad.

Oh, that poor little love. That's how Champ would be if we lost Bill. He loves me, but he adores his Daddy.

God bless you Nance. I have a very close family and even in the hardest times we still find something to laugh about. It really does help. Keeping you and Tud in my thougths and prayers and standing by your side.
