Got a call today from Treasure Island. I had filled out a survey. I actually LIKE filling out surverys. I was very detailed. I did not complain. But I was completely thorough. They wanted to thank me for all my comments and suggestions. She even commented that she had never seen such a detailed survey. LOL. The only problem, which wasnt really a problem was that they didnt have the room I reserved and they were booked. We ended up with a handicap room that had a walk in shower type thing. Not a big deal. Anyways, the lady wanted to thank me for my trouble and Ive got 3 free nights and 4 tickets to see Mystere (The cirque show that is playing at Treasure Island.) I have to go by May 31st 2010. :D

Mystere is the best in my opinion... I've seen it 3 times.

Ka and O are good... I liked Ka better than O... but both are sooooo expensive and if Mystere is less than half the price AND better... I'm always recommend it.

Zummanity is good... but it's a WHOLE different kind of show ;) ;)

Get yourself a Player's Card in the casino when you go and you will be inundated with free offers.
Got one. Actually its good for a few casinos, including Treasure Island, all owned by the same company. I also signed up to be a TI VIP before I went.

I also got text messages from this place where you can buy half price tickets for same day shows.

I learned lots of tips on how to save money while I was there. Had a really nice cab driver from my hotel to the Stratosphere.

What kind of free offers?
Free or reduced rates on rooms, meal vouchers, show tickets. Anything they think will get you to come back and spread some money around. It only costs them about $35 a day to turn a room, so anything you spend over that is pure profit.

I've got Players cards for most of the big hotels in Las Vegas and probably get 20 offers a week. I believe my postman may be planning an intervention.

We have the Players Club card and the last time we went, all we paid for was our airfare. All our food, rooms, and drinks were paid. We even had a second room for my son and they paid all of his expenses too. I get stuff everyday in the mail and emails. The last offer was for free airfare if we come down by a certain date. Cheapest vacation we have ever taken even better if you win when you gamble !!! :)

We were there in probably 1989-1990. Definitely before the birth of DW#1 (1993). Vegas has changed so much since then, I doubt I'd recognize it.

I still have it in mind to take the girls to the Grand Canyon. Maybe a night or two in Vegas in conjunction w/that...........
