Went to work Caleb Wednesday (we're entered in trials this weekend) and to do our nomral dozen or so retrieves with his bell. Now, I have one of those Max200 plastic bells that I have been using since the All-Star in August. When it landed it broke in two! I called them right away to try to get a couple overnighted so I would have them for the weekend. They were suppose to be here yesterday but no bells. I even called but didn't hear back from them. Thankfully one of my staff members let me borrow her bell since Caleb has decided that the wood ones are for mouthing. Don't know where my new bells are (ordered two) but not her.

Oh, Caleb went down on the sit again--not even out of the ring. Did qualify in Utility though with a nice repsectable score.

Looks like he has Utility down pretty well now - and is probably bored with those long sits. I can't believe it about your dumbell! I have 2, "just in case" (in case we might actually Q with one of them). My first one was a wooden one too, and I think that labs DO chew on them a little more - it's a lot like a stick you know! Last year at class, I threw the wooden one for her on a ROJ and it broke on landing. I watched to see what she would do. She went to the farthest one, which was the smaller piece, sniffed it, then came back on got the bigger piece and completed her jump. Wonder how a judge would have scored it LOL
