My Mercedes and I were a perfect picture of a Lab and her Mommy enjoying the afternoon..me sitting and reading the paper , her fast asleep onmy feet..she was dreaming..feet running, mouth twitching....when all of a sudden there was a smell in the room that smelled like something died , was packed in rotted fish, then put in the desert sun for a year...the anal gland oder....a spot was on my rug that reeked..i have cleaned it with everything in my cupboard..vinegar. oxy stain remover.etc..still the entire room stinks..i had her gland expressed in Feb and was going to have it done in July when she needs her Parvo and heartworm check...she could not wait.. i want to go live outdoors....help

I would think everything you tried should of gotten the smell out. Is it possible that the smell is not the carpet, but Mercedes? Her glands might still be full, and she is expressing them still? Just a thought.

How about baking soda leave on it and vacuum it up after about 6 years. lol
