We all know how to ditch a troll, but how do we deal with a bot (or bots)?
Just don't open the thread? Call it names? Try to reason with it?

Only thing I know that can be done is for Daniel to delete the accounts that slip through security. Wish there was some way to send a few thousand volts back down the line and fry them.;)

E-mail Daniel and notify him.

The SMF forum had a link, "notify moderator" that was helpful.

I notice there's a second post made that's somewhat similar. Our usual SMF forum had a security fence that blocked these -- our SMF lifeboat/backup did not.

Using registration with captcha fields is also useful at preventing spambots. For now I've just been reporting them to the moderator. But Daniel really ought to do something, as I'm sure all the bots are putting additional drain on the server.
