Go me! Halfway to work I realized I hadn't put the slide on the doggie door. Nor had I closed Miss Mouse in any room. Not part of my daily routine so it just didn't happen. Well, I said, I'm just going to leave it in God's hands.

He did good. :) Thanks, Guy! She was asleep in the kitchen when I got home early, around 2:30.

Also a huge thanks to Angie for reminding me about cats being nocturnal and sleeping the day away. I hadn't even considered that part. It helped. A lot.

Tra-la!

I think she peeked out the window as you left for work this morning. Then she went out the doggy door, chased some leaves, swatted at a butterfly, walked the fence like a tightrope, took a nap in the bamboo, and ran back in the house when she heard your car pull up! :)

I know that feeling too well. Very scary. Once, a few days after we got Rex (my little Ragdoll angel) I could not find him anywhere. I called and called and searched and searched, even going outside to try to find him even though I knew he could not have gotten out. I was beside myself when, a couple hours later, he comes out of the cupboard where I had looked no less than 2 times for him. All sleepy and stretchy like, "here I am, Mom. What's up?" He was curled up in a big bowl just out of sight. I was never so happy to see anyone! I'm glad she was a good girl while you were gone. It's dreadful to think what could happen, isn't it?
