Last months have been just terrible with this poor boy. First the heart murmur, then the elbows, now it seems he has parvo... I just don´t understand what´s going on with him, he´s always sick (very delicate stomach since pup)

He had been ill since a week ago and we were treating him for a stomach infection, he was responding very well to the treatment but suddenly started going down again last thursday. Last night was terrible, he started throwing up at midnight and continued with diarreah several times during the night.

In the morning I discovered the bloody, dark brown liquid, which makes me think the worse. He´s current in all shots (last december), but he´s immune system is probably so weak after the surgery...

I´m awaiting for lab results but I fear the worse..

Thanks all, I went home during lunch time to check him. He ate about half cup of kibble, and during the time I was there he didn´t throw up. He had bloody diarreah at some time during the morning, and still is very ill.

has he seen a vet yet?
if not and it is parvo supportive care (ie FLUIDS) are CRITICAL to saving him

he is losing fluids faster than he can replace them probably ...

I am sure you are sick to death of the vets after all you've been through but he may need help from them to get through this crisis no matter what it is - there is a snap parvo test they can run which will at least rule one thing out hopefully

Vet hasn´t received the test results yet, but so far he´s responding to the treatment. He hasn´t had diahrrea since yesterday (he had a couple of shots with antibiotics and something to control bowels), ate his dinner and breakfast today. He´s still very depressed but in general he´s hydrated (drinking water pretty much normally)

Vet is pretty sure it´s not parvo but the symptoms are very similar (the fever, bloody diahrrea, depressed). He´ll go check it at home later at lunch.

I´m still very concerned for him though...
