Here is my hiking dog, Layla, in training. Just don't tell her that, she thinks it is just having fun hanging out with dad. The picture at the trail head was just after we got done. At that point she had hiked the 7 mile round trip 2,600 ft elevation gain trail lugging around 10% of her body weight. The goal for later this summer is doing a 10 mile 4,000 ft elevation hike.

Does anyone else here hike with their dogs?

Nice pics. We dont have any hiking trails like that around here but yes I do hike with my dogs but it is amateur hiking.
