I just wanted to say hello to everyone since I have not been on here for such a long time. I have missed my JL friends, and am sorry that I disappeared for so long. The last couple of years have been very trying, and between a very busy schedule and prioritizing my marriage, I just wasn't able to keep up with the site. But I am getting ready to graduate (yay!) and have much more available time now, so would love to hear about everything that has been going on with everyone

Quick update on my end:

Shane (DH) is working as an aerospace engineer after several painful months of unemployment, and loves his job! He works with a lot of interesting people and literally builds rockets! Jaida is aging gracefully, and is still the most competetive fetcher I have ever seen. My princess! Bali somehow grew from a sweet little puppy into a 95 lb mischeivious giant...but is SO smart and incredibly sweet (he just tends to forget that he is too big to be a lap dog). I have spent most of the year working internationally at rural or travelling clinics in Africa and India, and graduate from medical school in a couple of months. Yay! Okay, your turn. GO!!!

Haha! Yes, actually I have plenty of photos of India, but my camera was destroyed in Africa while travelling (long sad story). And thanks for the congrats...I am very excited and a little nervous. It was actually Lindsay who mentioned on facebook that you guys were looking for me, and I have thought about coming back on here many times. No time like the present!

I am going into OB/Gyn. The match is in about a month, and I am ranking two programs here in Phoenix, and then Hawaii 3rd. So, we will see where we end up! How do we post pics on here now? Is the same as the old forum where we use photobucket or some other site?

Hi!!! Glad to see everyone! Working on the photos right now, so they should be up shortly. I will add some of my birth family too They are all great! My sister moved in with us for a little while until she could get back on her feet, and now she is doing really well, even newly engaged! She is going to wear my wedding dress in fact, as she had a dream before we met about a dress and painted it when she woke up and it looks exactly like mine (strange, huh?). My brother is in fifth grade now, and he is as bratty as can be but I love him. I took him to Disneyland last year for his first time, which was fun! My adopted sisters are doing well too. Megan is in her freshman year at NAU (following her big sissy's footsteps) and Em moved to Missouri to live with her boyfriend. I still haven't met my birth father, but have spoken with him many times and will meet him and one of my brothers on his side in March. I am very close to both my birth family and adopted family now, and feel fortunate to have so much love in my life. There is never a dull moment!

Thanks for the warm welcome! I missed everyone. Nathan, how is Theo??? I think about him often. So is this whole Beta site new or something?
