Haha! I found this in some of my ancient JL stuff. Tudor (Welsh is his native language) wrote it for Uplandlabs back when we still had the LBL Pub. It was in honor of Ups' Welsh terrier, Flyer, who was leading a demonstration in Furrow Plowing. Flyer excelled at that.

Cynhelir seminar aredig cwysi mewn cae d'yn Iowa Dydd Sul, 7 Ebrill. Dyma pan fyddd yr amser i arbed golau dydd yn dechrau, felly bydd genym ddigon a oriau dydd i ymarfer. Os byddwn yn llwcus, bydd digon o law wedi cwympo i gael pridd meddal i'r cwyswyr ddysgu'r gwahanol dduliau. Anogir pob ci bach i ymweld ag Iowa am y hyfforddiant gwych hwn! Wedi'r cwbl gallair aredig gael ei gynnal yn y Gystadleuaeth Tafarn LBL y fflwyddyn nesaf a bydd pob labrador am ennell ei le!

Gofynwch i'ch meistri ddod a digon o glytiau gyda hwy i suchu eich trwynau'n lan ar ol pob amarfer aredig. Dyma beth fydd hwyl!

Translation
A furrow plowing seminar will be held in a cornfield in Iowa on Sunday April 7. that is when daylight savings time begins, so we'll have plenty of light hours to practice. With any luck, there will bave been enough rain to make the soil nice and soft for furrowers to learn the various techniques. All pups are encouraged to visit Iowa for this great training! After all, Furrow Plowing may take place next year at the LBL Pub Competion and all labbies want to place well!

Please ask your humans to bring a lot of rags to wipe your muzzles clean after each plowing exercise. We'll have fun!

Welsh is definitely a difficult language.

Good God! No wonder I can't understand some of the English language! More power to Tudor if he can both read and write that as well as our bastardized english!

He sounds like your reg'lar Brit. Now, his sisters? Nearly impossible for me to understand them. Phonecalls are really tough for me... VERY thick Welsh accent.

I have a difficult time with any heavy accent over the phone.

Sister in Law is Welsh ! I could listen to her speak it all day! I know the words seem to have way too many letters, I can't spell in english I can't even go there in Welsh!

FYI Sister in law and brothers kids live in Pembrooke shire (I spelled it like it sounds so it is wrong!) We went once years ago and the country side is alot like NJ farm lands only they have more sheep!

I am opposed to any language with that many "Y"s in it.

I couldn't even begin to pronounce any of that!

I struggle to understand a strong Welsh accent. My old German teacher at school had a VERY heavy Welsh accent...as you might imagine, I didn't excel in German.

Yes, we have an old family Bible that is all Welsh. My mom's side came from Wales... actually, great-great-grandad was hanged as a horse thief and his wife and young son were banished to America.

Yes, I come from the stock of a horse thief....

I miss hearing my Grandpa babble around in Welsh, it's such a beautiful language. And singing it as well....*sigh*

I know exactly what you mean Nance. We've talked about this language many times before, you and I. I liked Tud even more once I found out he was a Welshman.

I'm still trying to find how my name is written in Welsh.
