and I know I am being anal. I am anal about my gardens. I have a male dog and manage to train him not to pee on my garden because it kills the plants (fast in the summer). Well, I made the mistake of telling a boarder she can bring her dog and she lets him pee and poop all over the yard and garden. Doesn't clean the poop and I asked her to please watch him around the garden (especially the veggies since I have to eat them!). Well, 4th time I said something and told her to leave him tied up or leave him at home. She probably thinks I am NUTS that I am so concered about a bunch of plants....but I hate to tell her that horses are not my ONLY passion. He also manages to crap right next to the stairs of the deck...right where I walk. Honestly though, some people ruin the whole dog thing for others....I can honestly see why apartments and some rentals don't allow dogs...I never understood in the past because I am responsible to a fault.

I don't think that is anal in the least! It's being proud of where you live and wanting things to remain nice once you tended to them.

And just wait until your little guy starts walking and playing in your yard. You'll become even more anal about it. You do not want to have to deal with him playing where there is poo!

Exactly. It will be especially important then (if she doesn't believe you tell her to google "visceral larval migrans").

Good luck, that would drive me crazy as well.

Wow! She doesn't clean up after her own dog. Nice.

Mind you, when my SD, her BF and their dog lived with us, I had to ask him to pick up after the pup. I have 4 dogs of my own that I pick up after! He resented me asking him to pick up after his. Then leave.

Let her know it just isn't working out with him tagging along. I would be embarrassed my dog was peeing and pooing all over the place.
