Thanks for the inspiration, Laura! After reading your thread, we went over to Wal-Mart and got one of those small plastic wading pools, and Harley had a BLAST! He was running around, chasing his toy, jumping in and out, and grabbing the hose to pull it out of the pool to play with. Unfortunately, we didn't take any stills, but we did shoot some video of it. I'll get it up on Youtube as soon as possible. To bad there's not a video section here!

You can upload video to Photobucket and post it from there. Many of us do that.

Glad he had fun.

We can't find a 'normal' wading pool. Lucky's has a ladder and a slide.

Glad Harley had a blast! I can't get my other two in a pool! Sam looks insulted if I get him in the water.

I did that last year. When it is as hot as it is, they love getting in it then lying on the concrete by the back door. It is always shady there so I figure being wet on the cconcrete helps keep them cool!

Tal like to try and dig a hole in it does Harley?

Harley just wanted to chew on the edge of the pool... ;)

It may be a bit before I can get the videos online. We seemed to have misplaced the cable that runs to our computer from the camcorder. You'd think they would standardize these things, but no; every one has to have it's own cable...

I got Scout a pool yesterday too. It is made of the kind of material that is put inthe bottom of pickup trucks so it is indestructible and it should be because it cost a lot for a pool. Scout has been having a great time splashing around in the pool. I'm so glad I got and grateful for the inspiration I got from this site

Mine have had their pool up for awhile now. The only thing, Simba likes to lay in it, which is fine, until she decides she's done and has to go roll in the dirt and then go back into the pool! I usually have to empty pool every other day, but I don't mind, it's fun watching Thunder and Simba play in it. Bud wants NOTHING to do with the pool, but get him to a lake or the river and you can't get him out. Wierdo...

I'll pull the pool out later and let Harley and the squirts play for a bit. That'll give me the opportunity to get some still photos...

Isn't that frustrating? A couple of years ago I was able to find a plane wading pool at WalMart. Last year we upgraded to a larger one that I was able to find at the hardware/craft store down the road.

Try playing "bobbing for hotdogs/carrot slices".
