I was just about to go in the house after walking Frankie, and a neighbor driving by stops at my driveway. She yelled to me "WOW! Your flowers and gardens are absolutely beautiful!!! I stopped this morning and peeked. Gorgeous!! Really suits your house, makes it look so 'cottagey'.".

That was really nice to hear from someone I barely know. :)

I'll have to try and take a good picture from the road.

I meant to add....I don't even think it looks as nice as it has in past years. My impatiens in the front garden are just now coming back after being attacked by deer. The annuals in my sidewalk garden are just coming back after being waterlogged by the rain. Black-eyed Susans aren't even bloomed yet, and the Russian Sage I just planted is still immature! Bee Balm looks cool though. :)

Everything about your house and grounds is enchanting, Amy. You should post more pictures of everything... the wishing well, the little 'pond', your sidewalk gardens, your bamboo stand... it's all SO pretty! :)

Oh yes... get a few of the river, too!

Awww thanks, Nance! Don't forget the covered bridge out back that Paul built over the "pond". :p

It's still there, tilting a bit from the many floods, but still standing! :)

Bee Balm? Sounds like something prescribed in the hive to prevent sunburn!
