I was kind of hoping for a little more exciting story, but it turns on that the dog that spent last night and today at our house belongs to the neighbor who lives at the end of our road. I was going into town to SubWay tonight and they were walking down the road with 2 other dogs and 3 kids. I asked if they knew anyone who had lost a dog that looked kind of like the one they were walking, and she said "Shepard"? "Short legs"? YES!!!! Turns out he's about 7 months old, and his name is "Bucky" (I'd been calling him Buddy, just for something to call him) Now my only fear is that he had so much fun here today that he might keep showing up at our house :(

Glad to hear that you found his home. But if it were me, I'd be hanging out at your house too.

Hee,Hee! Yep, I kept feeding him small amount so he wouldn't eat too much at once, he must have had a least half-dozen Milkbone dog biscuits, and went on our "walk" with us today. We had several people over helping to do some yard work stuff and he hung out with us, getting petted. Yep - he'll be back

Oh good! I'm so glad you found his home! It's usually something really simple like that, it seems. :)

Great that you found his home!

Sounds like a nice pup. You won't mind him visiting, and besides you know where home is now.

Glad you found his home, hope they do a better job of keeping him there- if not at least he has a safe place to go!:)

Well, at least you will know how to get him home, right? Of course, that could be a bit of a pain.

Glad the little guy found his home! I was beginning to picture you with a new addition.*wink*

Glad you found his owners.
But kinda strange that they live down the street but didn't go canvasing the neighborhood or putting up signs.

I asked them how long he had been missing (because he seemed thin), and they said "just yesterday". We live out in the country, and many dogs roam lose. Most stay by their homes, but I suppose sometimes they "go exploring" They came to get him while still on their walk (I wsn't there cuz I was still in town) and guess what !? This morning, their other dog was at our back door! He apparently liked what he saw last night.

And this surprises you how???? The dog Bucky is probably going through his gangly stage where they look half starved. Was he glad to see them? Were they glad to see him???? I always wonder...if you know what I mean.;)
