We lost our mare Moss Grove Our Little Secret last night. Jane went this morning and she was gone. We don't know what took her, there were marks on the ground, so we feel she colicked in the night. She was fine when I fed last night...

She leaves behind her 3 month old filly, Field of Dreams Something Wicked.

She should be OK. Many people do wean at 3mths (we prefer 5-6 months) and we will buy her junior feed. She also does have company, so she won't be alone...
