Most of my computers are Macs, as a matter of fact, they are all Macs except for one. (I use Macs for my video editing.) And this one PC is rather old. I haven't bought a new PC since 2001....I've just received hand-me-downs from people over the last 3 or 4 years.

Well, I've bought me a brand spankin' new PC and I'm going to set it up and get it up and running tomorrow.

But I've never used Vista. And worse yet, I've heard all kinds of horror stories about that OS. For those of you using Vista, are these horror stories true? Any tips that you can give me?

*knock on wood*
I have not had any complaints about Vista, in fact I love it!! I've had my laptop since September and it's been awesome. There are a few things that took me time to get used to (how to adjust features, the toolbar at the top etc..) There is one thing that annoys me, it is VERY security oriented. Half the time I want to do something it asks me if I want to continue, there's probably a way to turn it off, but I'm too lazy to look.

I love my tool bar though, it sort of reminds me of a Mac and since that's my dream computer it makes me smile (lol)

I've been using Vista on my desktop for over a year and haven't had any problems at all.

I have no problems with it --- at all --- and even use it at work in an accounting environment where I am told, it is at it's worst.

I just got a new computer in January. I was worried about Vista too. I have to say I have not had any problems. It does have more securirty questions & I bet there is a way to stop them but I haven't figured it out yet. The toolbars are different but once I got used to it....it is fine. :)
