UPDATE:
Thank you, thank you, thank you everybody for your good thoughts and prayers. ~You mean the world to us! :-*
We are just back from the vets.
I spent 9 hours in the waiting room, or near it, waiting for my girl. The vet took her in @ 9.30, one hour after we got there. Said he would take her as the last patient, because her surgery was the biggest one and he wanted to have the easiest done, so he could concentrate on Emma.
I sat in the waiting room... I just couldn't go home.. You know I'm kind of silly, but I think it brings good luck to have me there...
The vet called me... told me about a little thing on her pad, that was pink and looked a bit strange. I said it had been there for at least a year. But gave permission to take a test to sent it away for analysis.
So I read Marley and me, watched TV, drank some water, went to the bathroom... read some magazines....sent some textings... for several hours. At 4.30 pm I asked in the reception if she knew if Emma was ready soon... She called and went away :scare: I was so scared there wasn't any words for it. The vet told me before he thought she would be ready at 4 pm, otherwise he would call. The lady came back and told me she wasn't done yet. At least another hour. I waited for another hour, FINALLY talked to the very tired vet! (Wow can't believe how they can do this....) . Told me Emma was getting her teeth cleaned. The surgery went just fine but took a lot more time, than he thought. The lump was around the Jugular vein! OMG I didn't ask, but think if we had waited!
By this time I felt quite hungry... Hadn't eat since 6.30 am...
So went to take a pizza and then back. Got the news Emma was ready and a lady went to get her. We got so happy to see eachother!
And finally we were on the road home!!!
The cracked tooth is gone too, but I haven't opened her mouth just yet. She's quite sore I think. But she has some pearly whites now.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She's going to get a cracked tooth and a lump removed.
The lump is the same one that was removed in August, a benign HPC (Hemangiopericytoma). It doesn't spread, but is extremely hard to get whole of it. It's quite big now, 5 months after surgery, not at last time, but I won't wait this time. So 2-3 weeks after surgery we'll start radiation, on the only place that does it in Sweden, 100 miles from home.
Even if Emma is old, she's in perfect health. My vet just said it's unbelievable, when I said she's going to be 13 next month. Lungs and heart looks great, so does her blood works. The only thing that would stop this is time and money, he said. Money is an issue, but we'll make it somehow. The only thing that matters, is that Emma will be fine.
I'm having the day off since this is going to be a whole day at the vets. She'll go in at 8.30 and she might not be one of the first to have a surgery, so we might not be home until late afternoon... I wouldn't have the peace to go to work either way.
Please keep my precious girl in your thoughts.
