So Calli is in heat. I have been reading the forum here to try and figure when its best for me to get her spayed. So far Ive got it to anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks after heat.

Here's the dumb question.......Is it 4 to 8 weeks after its ended or from when it began? I know..... dumb. Im thinking from when its ended, but I could be wrong :D .

Thanks!

From when her heat cycle is finished. Or you can say 3 months from the first day of her first bleed. If that doesn't confuse you that is! :D ;) :-*

anytime. Also, Milly's spay scar is just beautiful.. you can hardly see it anymore! it's amazing that 5 weeks ago she was spayed. These dogs are incredible the way they bounce back so fast.

I thought she was just spayed. So you waited about three months to do hers as well? She bounced back rather quickly?
I have no doubt Calli will too. She is being so good about everything right now.

yes she has done well. The first 3 days she was miserable and then 4,5,6 and 7 she was not happy about being stuck in her crate for so many hours a day. She hardly licked her stitches too ... she hates getting in trouble and she kept getting in trouble when she went to inspect them so she just stopped doing it.

A worry I had though was I could feel hard lumps (and still can) under the skin :scare: I took her to the vet and they said that they are the dissolvable stitches that havent dissolved yet. Wow.. I didn't think they would still be there but the vet said that they would probably take a few month to dissolve.
