He is settling in wonderfully. He is my shadow, and hubby's helper. Yesterday while hubby was building the deck Dozer, true to his name, had a nap on hubby's tool case. Dozer is bonding well with, not only me and hubby, but all three children. It's great.

He doesn't mind his collar and is walking on a leash quite nicely. He usually follows the leash holder around, but sometimes puts his brakes on. Don't worry, he hasn't been out of the back yard yet.

We have only had one pee accident in the house and a part of a poop this morning - he was eating, left for about 10 seconds I got up from my chair, followed him and found him starting to poop, I said "no" scooped him up and got him outside quick where he promptly finished doing his business and looked all proud when I told him he was a good boy. After only 2 and a bit days when I tell him to "go potty" when we're outside 8 times out of 10 he'll squat and pee. Coincidence? Maybe, but I'll take it! So yeah, potty training is going really well, I'd say.

He is a mischief and a darling. My cats don't really care that he is here, though he did get his ears boxed my my male cat (Milo) Friday. Instant respect. Today Milo actually rubbed on Dozer. Otis (my female cat) thinks he's icky, but she's a prissy princess and we knew she'd want nothing to do with him. Milo, on the other hand, LOVES dogs. He and Cybil were best buds.

Yesterday he met my parents' dog, Bessie. She's a (we think) Shepherd/Collie X. They got along swimmingly.

I'll post more pictures soon. :)

Woohoo! He slept through the night last night! I'm not counting any chickens just yet, but I'm glad he at least slept one night so far. Woohoo!
