From the look of the car, that's about 1939 -- when cars did have running boards and when most road speeds were about 30-45 mph.

But I can't imagine a dog liking to ride in such a bag.

Back then, dogs were 'just dogs,' and their likes and dislikes were not taken into consideration. If they went for a ride, it was to the vet, never for pleasure.

I like the way the dog looks like he's going to get bonked in the head when the driver opens his door. :eek:

It's not very practical though. You have to have the window open. What if it's raining? :confused: You wouldn't want your precious leather seats to get wet.

On the upside, if you had a dog of the howling variety you could pretend you were an ambulance and everyone would pull over to let you through.
