I've been taking One-A-Day for women for years now. I ran out one day and I was completely sluggish the entire day.

Never taken any type of vitamin or supplement.

My grandma is a vitamin freak...she takes every vitamin/herbal/holistic remedy or vitamin under the sun.

I really need to start taking a multi-vitamin - any recommendations or do you feel they are generally the same? I eat cheese and drink milk everyday so I don't think I need a Calcium supplement ... but if anyone disagrees please tell me!

I don't take a multi-vitamin but I do take this MagmaPlus.

Natural Energy Drink Powder Dietary Supplement Containing Active Enzymes, Antioxidants, Vitamins, Minerals, Amino Acids, Protein, and Chlorophyll.

General Information
Magma Plus, like all Magma products, contains a significant amount of barley grass juice extract (1.8 grams per serving), which gives it the nutritional properties of Green Magma "plus" the many benefits of the most healthful fruits, vegetable, plants, and herbs.

Since Magma Plus is processed in the same gentle, temperature-controlled manner as other Magma products, the nutrients are intact and the enzymes remain active. Gentle extraction and temperature-controlled spray-drying are both critical steps in producing a potent and nutrient-rich energy drink.

Benefits of Magma Plus
Unlike many stimulants, Magma Plus is a natural energy booster containing many important nutrients that your cells require to produce the ultimate source of energy, ATP. Magma Plus contains many fruit and vegetable extracts, including the extracts of barley grass and Siberian ginseng, which help energize without hyping you up or leaving you feeling drained after a few hours. 1

Gingko biloba, magnesium, and lecithin help to promote healthy muscle and nervous system function.1
Contains beta-carotene, bilberry, and grape seed extract, important antioxidants that help protect us from free radical damage to many tissues, including our eyes. 1

Ginger root stimulates digestion and milk thistle extract promotes healthy liver function. 1

Echinacea may help enhance the immune system while Siberian Ginseng may help reduce anxiety and stress, in addition to boosting energy. 1

No, Nothing. Unless you have a defiencie (SP?) you really shouldn't take anything. Too much calcium will cause kidney stones, and I would think that too much of any vitamin is not good for you.

Every morning I take my multi-vitamin, Ester-C, just added in Flax Seed Oil caps (supposed to help with the effects of allergy meds), plus my Zyrtec D and every Friday I add in a Singulair with all that. (that's when I get the pleasure of allergy shots :-\ ) AND I've also just started taking Goji juice, supposed to help with energy.

Tried to in 2003 after one of my bouts with being sick and having surgery, had two different brands cause allergic reations. ::) Doctor said it must be something in the fillers and told me just to eat good.

Get some cast iron cookware and use it, my mom had allergic reactions to iron supplements and I gave here a cast iron oven type dutch oven she uses all the time, her iron is now where they want it.
