Do you have a friend who grew up in a cave?

I just posted on FB as one of my 5 movies that I can recite the dialogue from as Star Wars IV: A New Hope.

My best friend just posted "not the very first one? I would have thought episodes 1-3 would have made the list?"

Seriously? I bet she hasn't even seen it. I love her, but sometimes....

But you know you will eventually end up at Whitesnake, Bon Jovi, Quiet Riot, Poison and Def Leppard, right?

Out of all of those only Bryan Adams!!
I loooooved Bryan Adams. Whatever happened to him? The last thing I heard from him was that ballad from that craptastic Costner Robinhood movie.

"I know... this... much... issss.......

TRUE!!!!!!!!"

Worst. Song. Ever. As much as I hate the '80s hair metal bands, Spandau Ballet represents everything that was bad about music in the 1980s.
Ah...but what about Milli Vanilli...

I know this much is true...Ooo...Ooo...I love you....

I was AT the concert they got busted at for lipsynching. Asshats.
What about Sheena Easton, "Sugar Walls"? I could never figure out what that song was about...

P.S. Re: Your Milli Vanilli concert, I don't know whether to be impressed or horrified that you were there.

well that pretty much sums it all up:D

Aw, c'mon... Worse than "We Built this City"??? ((Starship))

**hurk**
the song that goes "We built this city on ROOOOOCK N ROOOOOLLL?"
Another HURK

"Nice day for a white wedding.....GAH......
Also gag-worthy: "Wake Me Up Before you Go-Go" Wham.

Or more accurately:

<<insert song of your choice>> by Wham

OK, "We Built This City" truly sucks, but it was redeemed-by-irony when the City of Cleveland decided to use it as the linchpin for their big post-industrial-reinvention marketing campaign in the early '90s. Truly painful.

The glorious awfulness of Spandau Ballet, I think, lies in the loudly overemotional yet out-of-tune and indistinct caterwauling of the lead singer, juxtaposed against anodyne synthesizer plinking.

What about the entire oeuvre of Huey Lewis? Whenever I hear "Hip to Be Square" I get inexplicably angry. Seriously, just hearing that song on the radio puts me in a worse mood than being cut off in traffic or any number of other small indignities.
<song of choice> by Tiffany, Sade, Twisted Sister

Oooooh...but does anyone remember Night Ranger's "Sister Christian"?
