I just posted on FB as one of my 5 movies that I can recite the dialogue from as Star Wars IV: A New Hope.

My best friend just posted "not the very first one? I would have thought episodes 1-3 would have made the list?"

Seriously? I bet she hasn't even seen it. I love her, but sometimes....

I think we all have one of those...or more. ;)

My grandma cracks me up. When I told her I had became a vegetarian she said "huh...well a friend of mine said she was one of those...she ate fish and grilled cheese though." "Well grandma some veggies eat fish"

"Well she ate grilled cheese too" "Well I eat more than grilled cheese!"

My husband is that way. When we first got together he didn't know what a slurpee was or what fajitas were.

He'd never seen The Wizard of Oz until I made him.

It's like he grew up in a different country. Even now, people will make some commonly known cultural reference and he'll get a look that lets me know he has no idea what they're talking about.

But this girl, well, woman I should say, is 2 years older than me. She doesn't know who Duran Duran is for crying out loud! We graduated high school in the late 80s!!
WHo's that?

I saw Star Wars and Return of the Jedi, but that's it. I know there are others, but I haven't seen them and couldn't tell you what they're called.

But I do know what Duran Duran is. And Kajagoogoo. Sad to say. Sometimes I think my brain needs a complete reformatting to get rid of all the stupid pop culture crap stored in there.

c:/*.* won't work, it takes a lobotomy to do that, but that messes up the hard drive a bit.:D

I have to google 95% of all the entertainment posts that are made here.
I like my rock. There's stuff underneath it you guys have never heard of, either.

*snargle*
Thank You!!! I thought I was the only one who had no clue who most of the entertainers, singers, and groups were that they talk about.

Nice and cool and shady under the rock. ;)

I was using the typewriter today (electric one at that!) and some idiottard in my office walked by and went, whoa, is that a typewriter? I've never seen anyone use one before.

Trust me, this chick is really short a happy meal of some fries. Not just fries out of the happy meal, I'm talking the whole happy meal might be missing....

I may honestly throat punch her.

Pshhhhhhh.... I still have my portable, field model LC Smith. WITH its original ribbon in it. Travel case and all! Love the little locks on the case.

It's so F. Scott Fitzgeraldish. Or Hemingwayish. Or like that.

Both the red and black sides of the ribbon still print.
