On Wed. I had my 9 month old puppy cut and a few things concern me. Peanut Butter is not eating his morning feed (but eats his supper) and I noticed a slight amount of pus were he had his operation. His behaviour and energy level are returning to normal. He isn't licking it much either but it was very red on Fri but the colour has gone down and now looks a lot better. How much should I be concerned and should I contact the vet? BTW I am now in the process of switching him over to adult food gradually.

I would think if pus is present that could indicate an infection. I'd get him back to the vet for a quick check.

He shouldn't be allowed to lick the area at all.

If his energy is fine, and he's eating and drinking for the most part, normally, I'd not worry. He won't starve himself. I would touch the area and if it's warmer than usual to the touch, I'd go in and have a vet check for infection.
