Coco - now called Casey was dropped off this am for her 1st surgery.

This on is for the left hip - the most critical and we're trying for a hip replacement - if her anatomy will handle it.

The femur is grotesquely pushed up into her pelvis and has been that way for several weeks now – so it will be a real challenge to get in there and see how her body has tried to heal and attempt to salvage the hip.

Casey is such a trooper and continues to handle everything with quiet grace.

We’ve raised enough money to pay for most of this 1st surgery and have applied for care credit to help us stretch out payments. The next surgery, for the right side should be less expensive and we are working on funding assistance for that surgery. The right side may not have as many options as the left but we’re still hopeful that she will make a full recovery.

The delay in her treatment, caused by her former owners, has really put her in a bad situation. We won’t truly know her options until the surgeon gets in there to look around.

Pray for her and the surgeon please. We need prayers showering down over them during her procedure.
