So, just back from the vet with Diesel and the cataract in his right eye has thickened to the point where we'll need to do the surgery very soon. He can't see things close to his face anymore and does not recognize people (including us) in low light. He is quite alarmist at night due to this. Lots of barking when someone gets out of bed in the middle of the night.

I have a very good Canine Opthamologist lined up so we are good to go.

Wondering if anyone here has been through this with their dog and has any tips or advice. I am sure he will be doing some crate time and wearing a satellite dish for a while so he does not disrupt the stitches. I will probably have both eyes done at once unless there is a good reason not to do so.

TIA!
