Yesterday afternoon when I got home I found the Monarch's wings had remained fully extended. I took it out and placed it on a rose to get a photo and it actually fluttered a bit. After taking the photo I left it on the rose and went back inside. An hour or so later as it began to get dark I went out to bring it back in and found it was gone. I looked all over the bush and on the ground but no sign. I can only hope it flew away, even if a bit. At least it got to return to nature as I had hoped.
Here is the photo I took of my rescue. Maybe today it's heading to Mexico.

It's a beautiful picture and your whole rescue story is just remarkable. Maybe you have a calling! :happy:
