Has anyone experienced this with their dog?

Yesterday, he bled from the pores (about an inch in length) right below his front teeth on his chin. Not bad bleeding, and for about 5-10 minutes. It was not a cut. You could see the drops as they came out of the pores. He was playing with another dog at the time. Would a hard bump cause such a thing?

That does sound like the result of a trauma of some sort. Sort of like what I would call a brush burn. Not sure how it could have happened however.

Does he rub his chin on the floor alot? We dog sit an allergic dog and when he's really having a spell he'll rub until he bleeds.
