Bought a mixed lettuce salad mix. Had Tango lettuce in it, never heard of that one before. No likey. It is bitter. Add it to my list of endive and radicchio as varieties I can live without.

Don't think I've ever heard of Tango lettuce.
I'm partial to iceberg and Boston lettuce myself. Not much nutritional value, but I'm not a fan of bitter greens for the most part.

bitter lettuce tastes better when your salad has pieces of strawberry, cucumber, red onion, and toasted almond mixed in with a splash of olive oil & balsamic vinaigrette.

hmmm... I had a bag of mixed lettuces and one of them was a tango thing... not bitter to me at all...in fact I liked the mix better than my leaf lettuce... and a lot less work in prep
