Well, we're home. What a weekend. Caleb continues to help me die a slow death. We needed two legs to finish his Canadian UD and got one this weekend, but what a great run it was! Under what I later found out to be a tough Canadian judge we got a 198.5! Wow! It felt wonderful. Missed HIT by 1/2 point--dog in Novice B had a 199. Rest he blew the go-outs but mostly running out, hesitating and taking the correct jump. Snot! Really wanted to finish, so we'll see if I ever do get to finish it.

Micah was in his first Rally trial. What a clown! Because of the way I taught him to fold down he cannot down from a sit so for two runs we lost 10 points for incorrectly performed. He did earn his RN with an 88, 97, 85, 98, 99 and 100! Not bad for a 17 month old Lab puppy! We still need to work a lot on attention in the ring but he obviously was with me more than I thought he would be.

But, Del Lunn will never forget Micah. The first run we had under him, when we went back in for placements and scores I knelt down next to Micah cause I figured we didn't place but he called our number for fourth place (one of the 80's cause of how Micah downs from the sit!). Got up to get my rosette and Micah jumped up and put that Labby nose right in Del's crotch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Of all people to do it to! Del yelled something like "Whoo hoo!" and just went off on it. I about died! I was mortified! Everyone was laughing so hard. Guess I was pretty red! I seem to always do something when I show to Del for him to tease and carry on about. Oh my! So today when we went in the ring he was teasing me that he had to go to the doctor after he left the show. Before I went in for my second run on Saturday a lady came up to me and said "At least you have a lady judge this run." Everyone was laughing. One lady was laughing that Micah will have an international reputation now! Great! What a way to start his career!

I came home and looked on the CKC website for trials. Only problem is that one is outdoors and if it is raining I won't allow him to jump. I don't want to take a chance of him slipping. Did find some on the other side of Ontario in September and October on weekends I don't have anything yet. And Del is judging at one of them!

Susan, I love that boy Micah of yours! He sure keeps it interesting. Congrats on getting one leg, hope that other soon follows! Darn Caleb, then again, he's such a handsome goof it's got to be hard to be too upset!

OMG, Susan, that really gave me a chuckle. I can just see you changing to shades of red, LOL!

Sounds like Micah is really coming along.

Too bad you didn't get to finish on Caleb, but I have no doubt that you will :)

Congrats on some good runs and Micah's RN title. He is such a clown, though. Nothing like a fun-loving lab.
