Hi I have posted before, I have a puppy who has been diagnosed with megaesophagus. He was doing so good, the vet wasn't even sure it was mega e, but Friday night we had to rush him to the vet and he was diagnosed with asphixiation pneumonia.

The vet didn't really answer any questions just wanted his money (Not our regular vet just the one on call);

I was hoping someone might know if a pup has pneumonia once is it more likely to happen again?

By the time I brought him home from the vet he had one dose of anitbitics he was back to his playful self.

It is so scary to watch them suffer :'(

Re: Asphixiation Pneumonia

are you sure it isn't aspiration pneumonia? aspiration pneumonia can lead to asphixiation which is the inability to breath, suffocation. I don't have any experience with it but i did just read a little on it. I have included the link, which also has other links for you to read.

Hope this helps and good luck with your little guy
